BOSIG Baukunststoffe GmbH is excited to present the successful project on the corner of Fischerinsel and Mühlendamm in 10179 Berlin-Mitte as a reference project. In this new building on a historic site, the focus was on enhanced sound insulation and the sustainability of the materials used.
210 rental flats, 50% of which are subsidised and 126 of which are barrier-free. There are also 7 commercial spaces on the ground floor, including a small childcare centre, as well as 49 furnished flats, 7 of which are student flatshares. The new building also offers a concierge service, catering facilities, a daycare centre, small-scale commercial space, a landscaped courtyard with 2 playgrounds and a green roof as a rentention roof. Construction work began in December 2020 and was successfully completed in December 2023.
The Phonotherm® installation frame from BOSIG Construction Plastics GmbH was used in the project. This proven solution impressed with its numerous advantages, which were crucial to the success of the construction project:
Thanks to our General Building Authority Approval (AbZ) and the new European Technical Assessment (ETA), Phonotherm® meets all building regulation requirements for the national and European markets – a guarantee of quality and safety.
With a compressive strength of over 7 N/mm² (7 MPa), Phonotherm® offers exceptional stability and load-bearing capacity, which is especially important in demanding construction projects.
Phonotherm® boasts excellent and exceptional strengths when it comes to screw use, compared to other insulating construction materials.
Phonotherm® allows for easy and secure sealing with a variety of common systems, including bitumen, liquid plastics, and adhesives. This ensures flexibility and safety in the construction process.
The Phonotherm® installation frame meets the criteria set by the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB). With its environmentally friendly properties and resource-efficient production, it contributes to sustainable construction practices and the certification of buildings according to DGNB standards.
With a sound insulation rating of 39 dB, Phonotherm® ensures a quiet and pleasant living environment.
Phonotherm® installation frames are not only UV-stable but also resistant to aging and rot, ensuring long-term durability and reliability.
Phonotherm® installation frames are safe from a building biology perspective.
Phonotherm® installation frames are delivered in the desired dimensions within a short time, further speeding up the construction process.
The Phonotherm® installation frame is therefore the ideal solution for construction projects that place the highest value on sound insulation, sustainability, and durability. We are proud to have used this innovative product in such a significant project as the new development at Fischerinsel in Berlin.
