Blue BOSIG acoustic cubes suspended in the modern

BOSIG acoustic cubes in the ‘Blue Hall’

Successful project in Slovenia

Following extensive six-month renovations, the ‘Blue Hall’ in Idrija, Slovenia, has been shining in new splendour since December 2025 – and now sounds just as modern sports and event halls should: clear, balanced and significantly quieter in terms of reverberation. This is because the client and planners placed particular emphasis on high-quality room acoustics during the renovation.

A central element of the new acoustic concept are 108 blue acoustic cubes from BOSIG, manufactured entirely at our factory in Gingen an der Fils. The cubes blend in perfectly with the hall's design in terms of colour and at the same time significantly improve speech intelligibility and sound comfort at sporting events, school events and concerts.

The installation of the acoustic cubes on the hall ceiling took around 14 hours – in the presence of Aljoša Flander, managing director and owner of our customer Decibel from Idrija, Slovenia, who carried out the project.

Acoustics and design merge seamlessly

‘This project was particularly exciting because acoustics and design merge seamlessly here,’ emphasises Alexandra Groth, the BOSIG export manager in charge.

With projects such as the ‘Blue Hall’ in Idrija, BOSIG demonstrates how functional acoustic solutions, design and efficiency can be optimally combined in implementation – for rooms where people enjoy moving, playing and celebrating.
