24 hours of continuous production with110 employees at the Elsterwerda site – it is obvious that a modern industrial company like us has a high demand for resources. We tackle this challenge:
With financial funding of the European Regional Development Fund, we were able to make our latest investment in the direction of sustainability come true. A photovoltaic system with 2,590 modules was installed in an area of 4,500 square metres.
In this way, the photovoltaic system in Elsterwerda achieves a total output of about 800 kWh or, more simply, this system could supply 150 homes with electricity.
The electricity produced can also be used at night using a photovoltaic energy storage system. Accordingly, after one year, we can achieve a self-consumption of 99.7%. This reduces the consumption of fossil fuels such as oil and gas. For us, humans and nature, this means that the photovoltaic system runs CO2 emission-free, so that around 347 tons of CO2 can be saved here.
