On 22 November 2024, the Congress Center Leipzig opened its doors to the ZEG trade fair, one of the most important industry meetings for the timber and building materials trade. More than 100 suppliers presented their latest products, innovations and trends on an area of around 1,300 m². We, BOSIG Baukunststoffe GmbH, were also represented as exhibitors and were able to inspire numerous processors with our solutions.
Our focus was on our innovative product Phonotherm®, a versatile construction board for demanding construction projects. Made from residual materials from the polyurethane foam industry, Phonotherm® not only impresses with its environmental friendliness, but also with an impressive service life of over 50 years.
At the trade fair, we presented the versatile applications of Phonotherm®:
• Phonotherm® sheet material: for universal use
• Phonotherm® parapet element: an innovative solution to prevent thermal bridges in flat roofs
• Phonotherm® pre-wall mounting system: for thermal bridge-free window installation according to GEG requirements
• Phonotherm® substructure profile: ideal for safe load transfer with exceptional insulation values
The absolute highlight at our booth was an interactive test where visitors could experience the machinability of Phonotherm®. They had the opportunity to hammer cramps directly into the phonotherm panels with a hammer to test the stability of the material. In addition, holes were drilled and screws were screwed in to show how uncomplicated and versatile Phonotherm® is to process – just like wood, but with significantly improved properties such as moisture resistance and thermal insulation.
A particular practical advantage was also demonstrated: Easy material during assembly. If fitters do not work very precisely, for example by drilling or setting several holes next to each other, Phonotherm® easily forgives such errors without sacrificing stability or functionality.
The ZEG trade fair offered us the opportunity to present our innovations to a wide audience and to make valuable contacts. Visitors showed great interest in the adaptability of Phonotherm® to individual requirements – a strength that we can guarantee through our modern machinery and customer-oriented solutions.
