Characteristics

The Cellular rubber EPDM tape is manufactured by BOSIG on its own machines in Gingen. It is a tape made of closed-cell, foamed EPDM rubber. As a result, it has very good UV and weather resistance and can also be used outdoors between metallic and mineral substrates, e.g. for the soft mounting of PV modules or solar thermal collectors on the substructure (under the elevation, between the metal holder and the modules themselves).

It will meet VDI 6022, Sheet 1 requirements and is suited for use in ventilation and air conditioning systems. Cellular rubber EPDM tape is also used in drywall construction wherever increased demands are placed on the partition tapes used in terms of robustness and resistance to environmental influences and chemicals.
