Fasatan® ES / Fasatyl® ES

EPDM Sealing Membranes for Door Thresholds, Plinths and Facades

Characteristics

Fasatan® ES and Fasatyl® ES are sealing membranes made of bitumen-resistant EPDM rubber for use in window and facade applications as well as threshold and plinth waterproofing.

They provide reliable protection against water, driving rain, wind, UV radiation, and weathering, ensuring a secure and durable seal for the building envelope.

Thanks to the special fleece coating on the surface, the membranes are:

  • Plasterable
  • Paintable
  • Bondable

Fasatan® ES (for exterior sealing) and Fasatyl® ES (for interior sealing) are compatible with facade renders and paints, external thermal insulation composite systems (ETICS), and perimeter insulation systems. This allows for flexible further processing in both facade and interior applications.

Customer benefits

  • Reliable sealing against water, driving rain, and wind
  • Can be plastered over using standard construction plaster systems
  • Can be painted with exterior facade paints and interior coatings
  • Compatible with ETICS (External Thermal Insulation Composite Systems) and perimeter insulation systems
  • Easy handling: reliable installation without the risk of contaminating window, door, or facade elements
  • Suitable for both interior and exterior applications
  • Compliant use in plinth and threshold sealing applications
  • Resistant to weathering and UV exposure
  • Accommodates normal building movements and structural expansion
  • Solvent-free

Field of application

Fasatan® ES and Fasatyl® ES are specially tailored for the following applications:

  • In ventilated rainscreen facade systems, from the parapet (attica) down to the facade plinth
  • As a waterproofing layer beneath window sills (water-drainage level)
  • For threshold waterproofing of floor-to-ceiling windows and doors (patio doors, balcony doors, and exterior doors), providing a connection to the on-site waterproofing system
  • For sealing window parapets, connecting window and door frames to the building structure, connecting door thresholds to the building structure, and for vertical waterproofing of the building plinth with connection to the foundation slab
  • Particularly suitable for timber construction, for sealing exterior wall sill plates to foundation slabs (vertical application)
