Noiseflex® MH Dark EcoBalanced

Noiseflex® MH Dark EcoBalanced

Dark. Elegant. Powerful. Stylish acoustic foam in a new, darker shade.

Characteristics

Noiseflex® MH Dark EcoBalanced (melamine resin foam) is a high-performance material in a dark colour (black-grey) based on melamine resin (Basotect®* EcoBalanced). It combines high temperature resistance, excellent sound-absorbing properties, effective thermal insulation, low weight and pronounced flame retardancy. This combination makes it indispensable for numerous industrial, construction-related and acoustic applications.

Noiseflex® MH Dark EcoBalanced stands for innovative, sustainable and stylish sound absorption at the highest level – for spaces that impress while creating a pleasant acoustic environment.

As part of the sustainable Basotect® EcoBalanced concept – manufacturing energy sourced 100% from renewable energy and a biomass balance approach – the material also makes an active contribution to climate protection, significantly reducing the Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) while maintaining the same high level of quality, safety and durability.

Noiseflex® MH Dark EcoBalanced therefore helps increase the use of renewable raw materials and reduce emissions.

BOSIG GmbH has been awarded the official label for Basotect® EcoBalanced by BASF SE.

Product Information

Key properties of the melamine resin foam Noiseflex® MH Dark EcoBalanced

  • High temperature resistance: stable up to approx. 240 °C
  • Flame-retardant and self-extinguishing: ideal for applications in vehicle engineering and construction
  • Low density: optimal for weight reduction, e.g. in rail vehicles and the aerospace sector
  • Excellent sound absorption: open-cell structure enables effective noise reduction
  • Thermal insulation: strong heat-insulating properties, highly valued in the construction and automotive industries
  • Chemical resistance: resistant to many chemicals and solvents

Noiseflex® MH Dark EcoBalanced is manufactured without the use of halogenated hydrocarbons. The product is not hazardous to water. Noiseflex® MH Dark EcoBalanced is free of blowing agents upon delivery and does not require labelling under the Hazardous Substances Ordinance.

Waste from Noiseflex® MH Dark EcoBalanced can be recovered both thermally and materially.

Noiseflex® MH Dark EcoBalanced has a CO2 footprint up to 50% lower. This is achieved by consistently applying two key mechanisms:

  • Noiseflex® MH Dark EcoBalanced is produced in a resource-optimised process using 100% green electricity.
  • Fossil raw materials are replaced with renewable raw materials derived from waste.
