Noiseflex® Pyramis PU is an open-cell, pyramid-profile sound absorber made from high-quality flexible polyurethane foam. The distinctive pyramid structure increases the effective surface area of the material and supports efficient sound absorption. This effectively reduces airborne sound and disruptive reverberation times, providing a lasting improvement in room acoustics.
The PU 25 foam version offers increased compressive strength and good resistance to weathering. Neither CFCs nor solvents are used in the manufacturing process. With a burning rate of less than 100 mm/min in accordance with FMVSS 302, Noiseflex® Pyramis PU is also suitable for demanding acoustic applications in commercial and industrial environments.
In addition to reducing airborne sound, Noiseflex® Pyramis PU in the Noiseflex® Panino version with a heavy bitumen layer can also help to reduce structure-borne sound.
Noiseflex® Pyramis PU combines high sound absorption performance with a robust foam grade. The pyramid-profile surface is particularly suitable for applications where effective sound absorption and an attractive technical appearance are required.
Noiseflex® Pyramis PU is available in various material thicknesses and can be supplied with or without a self-adhesive backing, depending on requirements. The standard version is supplied in a panel size of 1000 × 500 mm, features a classic pyramid structure with a pyramid base of 50 × 50 mm and is available in overall thicknesses from 30 to 100 mm. Other dimensions and versions are available on request.
In addition to the classic Pyramis version, the product is also available as Noiseflex® Pyromo PU. This version features truncated pyramid tips, creating a more uniform and understated surface appearance while retaining the sound-absorbing properties of the profiled surface.
For applications with higher sound and vibration damping requirements, Noiseflex® Panino is available. This version combines Noiseflex® Pyramis PU with bitumen board, allowing it to contribute to the reduction of structure-borne sound in addition to absorbing airborne sound.
