Round profiles are used to seal construction or movement joints, which are sealed with sprayable sealants. When designing the joints, care must be taken to ensure that the joints are sufficiently large.
This avoids a three-flank adhesion. The sealant's ability to move is maintained and tearing of the sealant from the joint flanks is prevented.
Depending on the area of application, round profiles are used for sound insulation and sealing of connection joints, construction and expansion joints, backfill material or cavity fillers. Round cords with a water-repellent surface structure can be used in interior and exterior areas.
